Brooke Lambert presents us with a collagraph with gouache, explore the world of light within water: reflections, light coming through cracks and crevices between darker areas in tidepools or on the ocean floor.
Pat Gerkin shows us an image uses paint sticks, encaustic and metal leaf on panel. The Earth prompts her to examine the space between the physical world and the inner world. Inspired by our greatest teacher, the natural world, Life Cycles reveals itself through the cycles of life/death/rebirth and the ephemeral nature of all living things.
Peter Gorski painting is narrative in nature. It may have been inspired by a lyric from a song, a quote read or overheard or, as is often the case, a concept or character that I just needed to get down in paint. This painting is a portrait done in reverse, with the genesis of the character being a conjured or known soul, and a physical being created from that.
Kimberly Bentley
explains with her sculpture that as an adult she has found out that monsters
really do exist. Monsters are not hiding in the attic but they are out in the
open as politicians, your neighbor next door, or father figures. From her series called “The Monsters in
My Attic”.
Amy Bellezza exhibits a portrait of an egg and says, "It is what it is: A very mature, adult egg making a living in a circus."
